Showing appropriately close on the heels of the HASH weekend, the current exhibition at Halesworth Gallery presents three landscape artists gathered under the heading “Who Owns the Land?”
Roz Howling shows beautiful linocuts of precious landscapes, some destined to disappear under development. Sophy Wollaston’s work is more abstract/broad brush, she is a GP and artist who cares passionately that there should be wild green space for people’s wellbeing and good health even in the most urban of places. And Gail Hoban’s work deals powerfully and emotively with the lack of public access to open spaces in our little England. She is on a mission to wake us up on this issue so go and see!
