What if we lived in a society which helped its citizens change from carbon to no-carbon systems; where trees were planted and not cut down; where we harvested energy from the sun and wind?

Adrian Ramsay MP, supported both our first and second Climate Action conferences. He is passionate about the environment, and achieving Net Zero: “When I heard Nigel Farage pledge to scrap net-zero, I could have torn my hair out. It’s astonishing that politicians who claim to support ‘working people’ would advocate for policies that keep our most vulnerable in poverty through sky-high energy bills.”
The fact is that the net-zero economy grew three times faster than the broader UK economy last year. The main reason energy bills remain high is our continued reliance on fossil fuels. The facts speak for themselves.

Professor Peter Hobson has also supported and inspired both our previous conferences.
Professor Peter Hobson was a research champion for the School of Sustainable Environments at Writtle University College. His research interests include proxy measures of ecosystem resilience and thermodynamic efficiency in forests and other semi-natural landscapes in order to mitigate against the impacts of climate change.
John Collins has been leading the village of Charsfield towards securing an ambitious community energy system. John will tell the story of setting up the community energy group, including what they have learned over the last three years of interaction with the Department of Net Zero and East Suffolk Council. This covers the positive aspects of renewable energy and where it might be
placed in our landscape.
