Below it is the (accurate) forecast made on Monday for Tuesday’s temperatures in France. Some places experienced even more extreme heat yesterday – Pissos in south-west France reached 44.3C.
And it’s only June. And there’s still another 24 years till 2050.
Global heating is accelerating at frightening speed. And it will not slow down unless we drastically reduce the burning of fossil fuels.
We know how this could be done. But unless governments get real about the situation we’re facing and the urgent action that’s needed to address it, we’re cooked.
