Following on from the workshop in Woodbridge in February we are delighted to tell you that Halesworth ASH
has been chosen for support by the new Community Energy initiative:
The two types of project are called Community Energy GO and FEL
CE-GO is for Community Energy projects that are ready to GO (see what they did
there…?), a project that offers a national support service that connects local groups with
free expert advice, tools and hands-on guidance to help establish local renewable energy
initiatives. Halesworth Community Sport and Leisure
FEL is a Future Energy Landscapes project, which offers support to communities to help
identify geographical areas that could best support community-owned renewable energy
projects and to ensure the community itself can decide what, where and how such a
scheme would work best for it. Also to explore the financial models, benefits and likely
returns on investment for the community. Westhall?
Halesworth along with a handful of other community organisations has been chosen for
each. We’ll keep you informed of the projects as they evolve.
