After hearing from William about the reduced insulation costs on offer, I made contact through HIGHLOFT
First I just put in our address to make sure we were eligible.
Then I measured the loft space. I went into the loft but I could easily have worked it out from the first floor.
I put the dimensions in, chose from two rolls, then the website worked out how many I needed. The website added the discount and it arrived two days later.
Although I could have done without all the plastic the bales were wrapped in, they were very easy to work with. I put it in myself, laying it over the old fibre glass insulation. It was very easy to work with. I started cutting with scissors but found a Stanley knife was better. I found a walking stick helpful to push the rolls into place.
The instructions say that you don’t need protective clothing to put this down, though as I was laying it over. old insulation I did wear a mask.
I had one bale leftover. I contacted Highloft and if I return it (at my cost) they will refund me. I am wondering whether to keep it though.
Overall, a very simple process.
