Energy Champion needed..

Perhaps you have an engineering or energy background and could spare some time to help Halesworth move closer to Net Zero? Perhaps you are a householder with knowledge and experience of energy saving measures and technologies which you would be willing to share with others? Or perhaps you are passionate about renewables, and would like to explore the feasibility of a community energy project for the Halesworth area?

Could you commit half a day a week to one or more of the following?
Help householders to navigate the maze of energy initiatives on offer and find solutions fit for purpose (eg practical advice on solar, air sourced, insulation)
Work with Halesworth ASH to develop a Community Energy Project in Halesworth
Work with developers, planners and elected representatives to get the best results for our local area from new energy projects.

If so, we would love to hear from you. Training and support will be available. There may be scope for this to develop into a part-time paid role in the future.
Please drop us a line via halesworthash@gmail.com to fix up a chat.

Our priority is to develop an Energy Pathway for Halesworth, to facilitate and support local businesses and households to reduce energy and fossil fuel use, help remove CO2 from the atmosphere and make our local area more resilient to climate change impacts such as extreme heat and flooding. Everything from better insulation and installing solar panels to enhancing local biodiversity and supporting nature-friendly farming.
