Adrian Ramsay MP challenged the Government on why it won’t consider taking back water into public ownership when privatisation has so clearly failed. Adrian’s question was also covered by the Independent and the Mirror which both highlighted his comments about the costs of privatisation: “Since privatisation, £72 billion has been paid to shareholders in dividends while his own department highlights that it would cost £56 billion to carry out the necessary investment.”
